Thank you for visiting my fundraiser page. My name is Mika and I was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the age of 2. I am a silly, caring, and happy girl who loves to make friends, but it is hard to do so as I communicate in my own special way. Other kids sometimes find it odd and choose to not include me in activities. It is intimidating for me to try to talk to other kids and have them understand me. They normally play without me which makes me sad.
My parents found a group called Friendship Circle that set up events for kids like me and others in a safe non-judgement free space. I've been going to Friendship Circle for the past few months and have been meeting new friends. We baked cupcakes, had a dance party, played sports together, and did plenty of arts and crafts.
Friendship Circle is a non-profit organization that looks for donations to help grow this wonderful environment for all kids to have a non-judgement free space. Every little bit helps me and Friendship Circle grow and host wonderful events like their annual walk that is open to everyone on Feb 4th, 2024 from 9-1 at Pine Trails Park. We welcome everyone, and hope to see familiar faces there!
